Requirements
To complete the further education to become a Training and Education Pedagogue, a completed vocational training and work experience in training or adult education is required. In many cases, a prior qualification, such as the Trainer Aptitude Examination (AdA certificate), is expected. Work experience in dealing with trainees or in adult education is advantageous to successfully manage the practical requirements of the further education.

Examination for the Training and Education Pedagogue
The examination for the Training and Education Pedagogue is usually conducted by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK). It consists of written and oral examinations covering pedagogical, didactic, and organizational knowledge. Additionally, in a practical examination, a self-designed educational measure must be planned and implemented. The examination often also includes the preparation of a project work.
Further Education Opportunities
After qualifying as a Training and Education Pedagogue, there is the possibility to further educate oneself as a Vocational Educator or to pursue a degree in adult education, educational management, or pedagogy. These higher qualifications open the door to additional leadership and management positions in education and human resources.
Funding and Financing
The further education to become a Training and Education Pedagogue can be funded through the Upgrading BAföG. This financial support consists of a subsidy as well as a low-interest loan that is partially waived upon successful completion.
