Requirements
To qualify for the further training to become a Certified Logistics Master, a completed vocational training (Ausbildung) in the logistics or technical field and relevant work experience are required. Usually, a minimum of one to two years of professional practice is necessary to be admitted to the examination. Alternatively, individuals with sufficient relevant work experience without a completed vocational training (Ausbildung) may also be admitted, depending on the requirements of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK).
Structure of the Logistics Master Training
The further training to become a Logistics Master includes several modules that convey technical, business management, and pedagogical knowledge. The main areas of the training include:
- Logistical processes: Planning, controlling, and optimizing the flow of goods, storage, and materials management
- Business and legal fundamentals: Cost accounting, financial planning, labor law, and contract law
- Personnel management and development: Employee leadership, team management, personnel planning
- Occupational safety and environmental protection: Compliance with safety regulations and environmental protection guidelines in the logistics environment
- Vocational and work pedagogy: Training and guidance of young talents, acquiring the trainer’s certificate (AdA certificate)
