Transportation Cost Allowances
Some training companies offer their trainees reimbursement for transportation costs. This can be done fully or partially and usually includes the costs for traveling to work or to vocational school. In some cases, a subsidy for public transportation is also granted, for example in the form of a job ticket.
Support for Learning Materials
Training companies can assist their trainees in obtaining learning materials. This particularly concerns books, software, or other materials needed for the training. Some companies provide these resources directly or reimburse a portion of the costs.
Accommodation Cost Subsidies
If trainees need to stay overnight due to the distance to the training company or vocational school, companies may also cover or subsidize accommodation costs in certain cases. This is especially true when housing near the company or vocational school is necessary.
Special Payments
Some training companies pay their trainees additional payments on top of the regular remuneration, such as Christmas or vacation bonuses. These payments are often regulated by collective agreements but can also be granted voluntarily by the company.
Reimbursement of Examination Fees
In some cases, training companies cover the fees for examinations that occur during or at the end of the training. This can apply to both internal and external examinations. Such reimbursements relieve the financial burden for trainees during the final exam.
Advances and Loans
Some training companies offer trainees the option to receive financial advances or loans. These can be applied for in cases of unexpected financial difficulties and are often repaid interest-free or under favorable conditions.
Subsidies for Accommodation and Meals
If trainees come from another location and have to live near the company during their training, some companies provide subsidies for accommodation and meals. This support can significantly reduce monthly costs and ease the training period for trainees.
